Hindringham is a 10 minute drive from the North Norfolk coast with its expansive sandy beaches - Wells and Holkham (as featured in the final scene of 'Shakespeare in Love').
The village and surrounding area contains a wealth of history and the small lanes and fields full of crops give the sense that village life has not changed much over the last few hundred years.
Hindringham's history can actually be traced back to the Bronze age. The village was originally mentioned in the will of a Saxon Bishop of North Elmham.
The village is situated approximately 5 miles inland, although the sea at Stiffkey can be seen from the highest point in the village.
Although there is no shop or pub, the village of Binham, is just over a mile away and contains both a shop and country pub, ideal for an early morning or late evening stroll.
